Restoration of the Looff Carousel in Old Port Dalhousie, St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada

This Carousel in Lakeside Park is in need of restoration. The hand carved wooden animals are looking sadly in need of repairs, stripping and repainting. We need to work now to preseve the heritage of the carousel and to bring it back to the jewel that it was so that the next generation can enjoy this wholesome entertainment from our past.

Niagara Woodcarvers are helping the Friends of the Carousel with the repairs. The Carousel will remain open during the restoration project.

Directions: QEW to St. Catharines. Take Ontario St. North; Left on Lakeport Road to Old Port Dalhousie. Follow signs to Lakeside Park.
